Charter Captain- 40’ Nautitech- Haya November- January
- Ran an all inclusive charter for up to 8 people in the San Blas Islands of Panama. Trips ranged from 2-10 days.
- Managed all logistics and operations for a very remote charter with quick turns from organizing water delivery from a rainforest spring, provisioned fruits and vegetables from local island indigenous peoples, organized 4x4 taxis and launch drop offs and pickups for guests, spearfished and ocean foraged for proteins when there were no fisherman around. This region had no services which forced outside the box thinking and action.
- Sailed and navigated a reef heavy, uncharted region of 365 islands of the San Blas archipelago with only a compass, depth finder, and peer update Navionics. No anemometer, autopilot, AIS, chartplotter, VHF, or radar.
- Handled boat/engine maintenance and upkeep with extremely limited services.
- Sailed 100 nm from the San Blas to Colon for a yard period in unpredictable weather and gail force winds with one engine and a green deckhand/chef.

Left the charter due to unsafe boat conditions, and political issues between the charter owner and the indigenous (kuna) people of the area.

- Sailed 1800 nm from Newport Rhode Island to St Thomas
- Navigated a 2 day storm rounding Bermuda with 20-25’ seas
- Held a 3 hour night watch and was 1 of 2 crew chefs during the storms

- Navigated the East Coast from Camden Maine to Ft Lauderdale, Fl
- Navigated by hand steering the ICW from Norfolk Virginia- Morehead City, NC and the entire Florida coast

- Operated the Pilot Boat on our way out to pick up the harbor pilot
- Held position next to the tanker, matching its speed underway awaiting the pilot
- Navigated in all conditions day and night off shore in Maine

- Operated a 28 capacity launch that navigates the mooring fields of Shermans Cove, Curtis Island, Steamboat Landing, and the inner Harbor floats

- Relief captain on a prominent daysailer in Camden Harbor
- Filled in on 10 hours shifts with 15 minutes between sails to load and depart from a busy shared commercial dock.

- Provisioned, charted, chef'd, and executed a 6 day sail through the Eastern and Western Penobscot Bay.

- Fully private Day sailer/overnight charter running multiple trips a day.
- Balanced a schedule of 2- 6 hour day trips with quick turn around and 2-4 day charters.
- Developed routes and solo sailed.
- Operated a multi night foraging food tour of the islands of the Penobscot bay. I led land and ocean foraging tours and created a culinary experience from the area for guests.

- Ran on-deck operations including crew management, and boat maintenance underway and at port
- Serviced 17 guests on 3-8 day full charters throughout the Penobscot Bay Maine
- Sailed extensively throughout the Penobscot Bay exploring over 400 islands and multiple anchorages
- Ran daily shore trips for guests in Ladona’s Skiff
- Drove yawl boat to help maneuver schooner in docking, and tight situations
- Manned the helm underway throughout the day

- Served as First Mate during a windward sail from Port Villa, Vanuatu to Vuda Marina Fiji
- Competent in bluewater electronic navigation using integrated charts, Google Maps, GPS, and AIS; night navigation using radar and course plotting; communications using SSB Pactor Modem and VHF; engine monitoring; sail and deck plan knowledge; sail and route strategy on board

- 4 years in the marine canvas industry. Competent in patterning, building, installing, and repairing full boat enclosures, bimini tops, strataglass, cushions, dodgers etc
- Built 14 campervans since 2014. Full construction from solar to upholstery.
- Designed and implemented a 400 amp hour 12v off grid self sustained system with 400 watts of solar.
- New construction to repairs on all types of marine canvas.

Outdoor Emergency Medical Technician April 2013 - September 2014

- Patrolled the mountain on downhill bike for 40 – 50 hours per week
- Dispatched to Level One Trauma in outdoor settings
- Responded in backcountry settings dealing with injuries ranging from broken necks, fractured and dislocated ligaments/bones, severe lacerations, hypertension pneumothorax (punctured lung), unconscious and perseverating patients, combative patients, and asthmatic or respiratory issues.
